My Favorite Things
"My Favorite Things” (MFT) is a show title paying homage to one of the GREATEST jazz performers in the world – John Coltrane. Also borrowing from that artist’s classic song. MFT is a "straight ahead" jazz program featuring the jazz giants of yesteryear and those new and aspiring ones today. It will feature segments such as “Bonus Hour” – album cuts; “Artist Spotlight,” “Local Artist Showcase,” and more. Fred Fair, the show host, has a vast knowledge of jazz history including musician’s bios, discographies, etc... The show will eventually include local artists, concerts, and other musical venue information. Fred has over five decades of broadcasting experience including international and domestic locations such as the Armed Forces Thailand Network, and in the United States. He is a retired tenured professor in radio, television, film, and mass communications.
